Safety and reporting
Reporting content or a person
Every post, message, listing, question and profile carries a report control. A report reaches a human reviewer, and you will be told the outcome. If you would rather write to us, use [email protected].
Blocking
Blocking someone in the dating feature closes any match between you, removes you from each other's decks permanently, and tells the other person nothing.
What we remove
Harassment, threats, sexual content involving anyone under 18, content that incites violence or hatred, forged verification evidence, impersonation, spam, and any offer to produce work for someone else to submit as their own.
Meeting someone in person
Meet in a public place the first time. Tell a friend where you are going. Verification proves a university connection and nothing more about the person behind it.
If you are in danger
Call 999. Both universities have out-of-hours welfare and security numbers, and your college has a welfare contact. We can preserve evidence and provide it to the police on a lawful request.
Our duties
We keep written risk assessments for illegal content and for children's access under the Online Safety Act 2023, and we review them when the service changes.
